Using amateurradio in a other country:
- Full - licence

In most countries you can use your radiostation if your a full-licenced hamradio operator.
For full-licence radioamateurs this so called T/R 61-01 CEPT Radio Amateur Licence, makes it possible to use your equipment in 47 other countries, if your living in a country that also excepts the T/R 61-01 CEPT. You can easy check that on the ero page under:

Novice - licence

With a novice station the situation is a bit harder. Not every country have implemented the so called REC0506 recomandation. If your country did and you visit a other country you can use your radio over there. But be carefull that you can only use the novice licence bands and transmit powers from that country. An example:

For example if your a dutch novice station your are allowed to use a part of the 40 meterband at home with 25 Watts. But if your traveling to Germany your not allowed to use the 40 meterband, but are allowed to use the 80 meterband with 100 Watts. So allways make sure you check the allowed bands/transmit powers first before using them in a other country. And don't forget to take your licence papers with you!
